Downtown Minneapolis is developing a multiple personality disorder, and that’s an overwhelmingly good thing.

At every corner of the city’s CBD, there’s more going on than a typical person can remember.

Continued interest in new development and redevelopment projects has spurred new growth, with entire districts with distinct personalities popping up where there had previously been underutilized properties or vacant land.

10-story office project is latest development in hot North Loop

The Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal reports that Ned Abdul‘s Swervo Development Corp. and CPM Cos. have submitted plans to the city of Minneapolis for a 10-story office building in the North Loop.

The project is the fourth new office development project to be revealed in the North Loop historic district, and I’ve reported on a fifth under consideration. The projects range from eight to 11 stories and 150,000 to 250,000 square feet. Read more >>>

C.H. Robinson expands North Loop office

According to the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal, Eden Prairie-based C.H. Robinson Worldwide Inc. is expanding in Minneapolis’ North Loop district.

The company signed a five-year lease for 22,000 square feet in Tractorworks Building (800 Washington Ave. N.), according to a news release.

Land O’Lakes agribusiness marketing unit FLM+ heads to North Loop

According to the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal, Agribusiness marketing firm FLM+ is moving its Twin Cities office from Wayzata to downtown Minneapolis.

The Land O’Lakes unit signed a lease in the historic TractorWorks Building (800 N. Washington Ave.) in the fast-growing North Loop neighborhood near downtown Minneapolis.

Warehouse District’s McKesson Building will get upgrades

The Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal reports that The Ackerberg Group will take over management of McKesson Building on First Avenue North, adding new amenities in a bid to tap into booming growth in the North Loop neighborhood.
